How to Reach a Glacier in Style

A few days ago, I had a sudden urge to visit a glacier. Luckily I happened to be driving past one at the time, so all I needed was some sort of transport to get me the last couple of kilometres onto the ice. Here's the bus I found.

Once on the Columbia icefield, I wandered around on foot, avoiding the deadly crevasses and icy puddles, before returning to the safety of the bus.

One interesting point about this location in the Canadian Rockies is that it is at a tri-continental divide. This means that from this source, various rivers lead to variously to the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.
