Haven’t seen any cats outdoors during the snow, only their paw prints. So I guess they are doing the intelligent thing, and only going out when necessary (curled up in cosy warn room). And when they are out, moving very quickly. So your tunnelling theory may be right (cunning these cats).
One the other hand, dogs going for walkies, with snow on their noses (one nose per dog). This just goes to prove the point ... Cats rule, dogs drool. Or is it ... Dogs have more fun.

I'm worried about all the neighbourhood cats. Have they created tunnels under the snow, or maybe they have snowshoes?
